🌎 HAPPY EARTH DAY! 🌎

🌱RECAP from our Earth Month Festival with @wchsgardening ! Our primary purpose in hosting this event was to promote environmental awareness and help build the next generation's passion for helping the world around them! We also raised $627 for the Amazon Conservation Association, swipe to see our donations impact!

🌲In Rockville Town Center, on April 3rd, 2022 Pop for a Cause teamed up with Churchill Gardening to support something we can’t live without: the Amazon Rainforest. The festival consisted of recyclable bowling, pot planting, temporary tattoos, make your own pins, recyclable relay race, pot decorating, endangered animal awareness, recyclable art, Environmental Solutions collage, and MORE!

🌳Huge thank you to every participant, every donor, and of course our AMAZING volunteers! Now is the time to protect our planet. By taking part in activities like picking up litter, planting trees, or participating in our Earth Month festival, we're making our world a happier, healthier place to live.

March, 2022:

😁 Today @popforacause donated 300 much needed handmade oral care kits to @awidercircle for their to residents in Washington Highlands! 💚 Washington Highlands is located in Southeast DC and is one of the economically hardest-hit communities they serve. These kits are made up of toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash. We also included hand written notes! 🦷 @popforacause was able to secure sponsorships from @crest and @oralb our biggest sponsors to date!! 🍿 We couldn’t have done it without our @popforacause ambassadors helping to package these kits! Four of them were completely new. If you are student and want to earn SSL hours or impact your community, fill out the Application form in our bio!

August 1st, 2020

Our new cause of the month is the Fourward 4H fund! Amanda feels strongly that the growing opportunity gap is a very important issue that tends to be overlooked. While navigating the COVID-19 crisis, an undeniable truth is found: our nation’s youth are hurting. 12 million youth don’t have access to the internet at home and are missing out on virtual learning and connections. By buying our popcorn, you are helping supply and send educational kits to youth who don’t have access to virtual learning opportunities like camps and academic support – engaging them through fun, hands-on activities and skill-based learning.

July 1st, 2020

June 1st, 2020

Amanda got to work from that night on, making calls, watching videos, reading articles, taking feedback, until she was able to launch Pop for a Cause and her website went live! Amanda decided she wanted to donate every penny of profits to charitable causes to make a difference in the community, and hopefully the world!

May 1st, 2020

Amanda Kossoff, CEO and President of Pop for a Cause, sat down to enjoy watching a movie with her younger sister on a regular night of quarantine. She winced at the artificial yellow colored, perfluorinated compounds containing, Diacetyl infused microwavable popcorn. From that night on, she got to work, baking, taste testing, and picture taking, until she reached perfect, delicious air-popped, homemade popcorn!
